1 Empty 1 Newbie: Vitamin C Edition

I have been using diligently to my Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum + and I have finally used up after a few months of using. I bought it on sale from S$34.90 to S$29.90 at Watsons. It says it has 70% green tangerine extract that will fade the look of dark spots and improves skin dullness. It also claims that be effective in fading hyper-pigmentation, freckles, age spots and brightening the complexion. Goodal is famous for its brightening the skin without irritating it.

So, me having a dry, sensitive skin thought I really want to try it. Although I don't have much dark spots from acne nor freckles but I do have dull skin and have always wanted an even skin complexion. After using the whole bottle, I found that it didn't do much on the skin. It doesn't irritate the skin as they claimed and I love the glow it gave after using it. It absorbs into the skin remotely quickly and it doesn't give a tacky feeling afterwards.

The new vitamin C that I'll be replacing will be from a very big Japanese brand Rohto. Rohto is a big brand that has many small brands from skincare to medicine. The first Rohto product that I have come across is their eye drops since my mom is an eye surgeon and she sometimes uses it when I was young.

Going back to the skincare, this new vitamin c product is from a sub-brand from Rohto, Melano CC. It's called Melano CC intensive anti-spot essence. It can be used for all skin types and mainly will be benefited from those with acne scaring. It claims to be formulated with a powerhouse antioxidant duo of vitamin c and vitamin e to brighten the skin. It also claims to fade dark spots, acne scarring, PIH, while also fights against new acne forming.

As I mentioned earlier, I don't have much acne scarring so this product might not benefit me but I love the packaging. I usually use 4-5 drops of the essence after my toner and it is like an oily formula. I just applied after warming it on my palms. It sinks in beautifully and so far I really enjoyed applying it.
