Review: Etude House 0.2mm Therapy Air Mask in Manuka Honey ★★★☆☆

Today I will be using Manuka Honey mask from Etude House 0.2mm therapy air sheet mask line. After using the sheet masks from Innisfree line, I decided to start using the Etude House sheet mask line and I'm so excited to a comparison blog post like I did for Innisfree. I will be using the Etude House manuka honey sheet mask since I was looking for some moisturising effects on my skin.
Back of the mask
As usual, Etude House's 0.2mm sheet mask line got 3 different essence types. The moist water type essence, the ampoule type essence and the emulsion type essence. From what I have experienced, the emulsion type essence is the thickest and the most moisturising while the moist water type essence is the thinnest and the most hydrating.
So, the Manuka Honey mask is the emulsion type essence that has the thick essence type. It claims to give the skin rich nutrition and have deep moisturising effect on the skin while firming to the skin.

Ingredients: Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Sorbitan Stearate, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Honey Extract, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Arginine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sucrose Cocoate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Coptis Chinensis Root Extract, Dehydroacetic Acid, Adenosine, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Disodium EDTA, Boswellia Serrata Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Oil, Centella Asiatica Extract, Ceramide NP, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Geranium Maculatum Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Teatree) Leaf Oil, Phytosteryl/Octyldodecyl Lauroyl Glutamate (Source: here)
The mask material is a thick cottony type material that is thick enough for the essence to stick to the mask without dripping to the floor. I really enjoy the mask material since they are not easy to tear but they tend to dry up faster.

The fit of the mask is nice and fitted. Since the mask is thick, it is easy to unfold and put on the mask. Once it is on, it's on! You can do housework or write something like I do or just totally relax on your bed, your choice. What I mean is, it will stay on your face without slipping it off.

There is very faint scent from the mask which isn't the scent of honey (thank goodness!!) and once it's on the face, you can't smell it.

The essence is a milky consistency and it is thick. Although there is 20ml of essence inside the packet, it doesn't seem like it's 20ml since a lot of them are soaked in the mask. Since the essence has a thick consistency, it is not easily dripping to the floor so I really enjoyed it. As usual, the emulsion type essence has a thick milky consistency so it doesn't get absorbed easily to the skin and leave a sticky residue after using it. It also takes longer to get absorbed into the skin.

As usual, I left the mask for 20 minutes and I could tell that the mask gets easily dry. Mainly my t-zone area is dry while only the perimeter of the sheet mask is still wet. I didn't really enjoy the masks that are easily dry.

After using this mask, I did feel a bit of moisturising to my skin and my skin felt smooth and soft. Other than that, I didn't feel or see any differences and hence decided that this mask does not do much for my skin.

So, overall, I will give this mask 3 stars out of 5. I would not repurchase again and I usually enjoy the essence type that is thin and easily absorbable.
