Review: Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask in Aloe ★★★☆☆

I wanted to try writing a blog post on the sheet mask that I used on the same day and tell what I think from now on. Usually, I write some points that I really like or dislike on the draft of the review post so that I will know what I want to write but I want to try writing on the same day.

As I mentioned in many different blogposts about Innisfree masks that I got these in the Innisfree stores in Singapore during the buy 10 get 10 free period but if you want to get them, they are retailed at SGD2 a piece. Innisfree had refreshed their sheet mask line so they have newer sheet masks that is improved so you can find the old ones cheaper than the original price since they will be clearing the stocks. I have had the masks for quite a while and they will expire end of this year so I decided to try them out and see which are the ones that I really liked and which ones are meh for me.

For this mask, I was excited to use this. I have changed my skincare routine since some of the products that I used had run out so I am trying to find a better way to take care of my skin. Currently, I am trying SK-II products so I will be using the sheet masks alongside with the SK-II products. So, I had prepped the skin using the SK-II clear lotion and facial treatment essence and after my Innisfree soybean eye cream and the Innisfree green tea seed serum, I usually applied the sheet mask as a moisturiser.

According to Innisfree, this mask claims to hydrate the skin with aloe. It also claims that the aloe will give the stressed skin vitality by soothing and moisturising it. And with other ingredients, the mask will keep the skin healthy.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Ethanol, Betaine, Grapefruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Extract (200mg), PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tangerine Peel Extract, Orchid Extract, The green Tea Extract, Camellia Leaf Extract, Prickly Pear Fruit Extract, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

The sheet mask material is not too thick and not too thin with a cottony feeling. It didn't feel like paper as some other masks does and this mask is easy to unfold and put on the face. Since it is not too thick nor thin, the mask is not easy to tear which I really liked. The mask was soaked in the essence and when I took out, it was not dripping so it's a plus for me.

The fit was okay as I wished they had a big bigger holes for my eyes since the mask is basically very near my eye balls. I like the fact that their mouth holes are small so that the mask will cover some parts near the mouth.

There is 20ml of essence in the packet. The essence is a watery and slimy consistency and there were a lot left in the packet. For today, I kept the essence for a while and it was a right choice that I did for today. The scent was a bit grassy or aloe scent and there is a feint scent of herbal scent to the mask. When applied, the scent went away and I cannot smell the scent anymore.

I put the mask on for 20 minutes as usual. Around the 10 minutes mark, I felt that the sheet mask is drying out faster than I imagined so I decided to put some of the leftover essence on the sheet mask. After several layers of the remaining sheet mask, the sheet mask was soaked enough for me to continue the masking. When 20 minutes was up, the sheet mask was kinda dry is most areas of the skin. The sheet does not retain the moisture and it is easy to evaporate than other sheet masks.

I was kinda disappointed. After removing the sheet mask, I felt some areas of my face was a bit dry since the sheet mask was sucking the moisture back from my skin so I decided to squeeze the mask and use the remaining essence on my face.

After using the sheet mask, my face was sticky and it took me around half and hour for the essence to finally get absorbed by my skin. My skin felt soothed and a bit moisturised but other than that, I was disappointed with the application and the performance of this mask. It dries out so fast and if I used up the essence to other areas like I always do, my skin will be dry from the sheet mask absorbing back my moisture.

Overall, I will give this mask a 3 stars out of 5. It was sticky, dries out very quickly. Although I love the way it soothes my skin and keep it a bit hydrated, the performance sucked. I will not try this mask again. There are many types of masks from Innisfree that I love so make sure to try them out.
