Evening Skincare Routine

Good evening everyone! How is your day? Did you have a long day or a relaxing day? Nonetheless, evening or night skincare routine is a must for everyone. So today I am going to share my evening skincare routine with you all.

I use the same products mostly so I am just going to link to my morning skincare routine if you have not seen it. It has the same products mostly and I only use one to two products differently.

Normally when I get back home, I always like to use make up cleanser or some makeup wipes to wipe away my makeup. Then my actual skincare routine starts.

As you have seen in my morning skincare routine, I use this cleanser daily and I have been loving it. The only thing that is different from morning is that I use the Clarisonic Mia 2 to cleanse my face thoroughly and I have been loving it. Ever since I got it from my boyfriend as a gift, I have been loving the product and using it religiously every single night.

I really love this cleanser and sometimes I use the Kiehl's Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser depending on my skin on the day. This is a foam type cleanser so it is much gentle on the skin and it is very good for acne since I have ouly - acne prone skin.

Usually I apply a face mask of any type before I go into the night skincare routine so I will talk about my sheet mask routine and wash - type ones in another blog.

I love to use this Innisfree Aloe Revital Skin Mist. It acts like a toner in a bottle and you just mist it to three to four mist across the face and pat it gently. It leaves the skin very soft and hydrated since it is water based. It is also good to apply on the makeup as well for extra hydration.

I'm using this eyecream at the moment and I am in love. It is really good for fine lines and puffiness. I also use this product in the morning.

I cannot describe how much I love this essence. It is SKII facial treatment essence. It is super expensive but I really love using it. Since I am a student and I do not have income, I can only afford to buy the smallest bottle but because of the effect, I keep buying it bottle after bottle. I have been using it for a while so I really love it.

Last but not least, I use the face moisturiser, As mentioned in the morning skincare routine, I am using St. Ives timeless skin collagen elastin moisturiser as my daily moisturiser. I really love using it and I love the fact that it is so affordable for amount that it has.

I also love to apply this as my neck moisturiser and as my hand cream before I go to bed.

The extra things that I do before I go to bed is I apply a lip balm. I got this from the body shop for S$ 5 since it was on sale when I bought it. I still do not know how I feel about it because I really love the scent but I do not like way I have to apply and I feel like it does not as moisturising as the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment

I really hope you find this blog helpful to you. Just make sure to drink a lot of water before you go to bed and wear warm socks if you feel cold. I guess this is my night time skincare routine. I hope you have a very nice weekend and have a nice day. Good night everyone!

Feature Guidelines

My review will be honest. I will not be paid to or bribed into changing my mind about my review posts. Therefore, what the readers see on this blog will be 110% honest posts.

It will take time for the review to be completed. Usually, I have other products that I am currently testing out, so it can be weeks even before I try out your product(s). Testing can take a long time, please be understanding.

Length of Testing:
  • Facial skin care usually tested for 5~7 weeks to allow my skin a chance to equilibrate and see results.
  • Skin/body care items like masks, hand cream, body lotion and sunscreen usually need a few weeks of testing.
  • Hair care products take generally about 1~2 weeks.
  • Makeup items typically need about 1 week of usage to see typical wear test.
  • Gadgets or Technology items typically need about 1 week of usage to see how they are performing.

Due to the time takes to test a product, I need enough product to complete the testing period. I do not require a full sized sample. Smaller sizes and lab samples are acceptable. If you are sending a sample in a form that is not the retail version, I will need a picture of your retail product.

Morning Skincare Routine | September 2015

Morning everyone. My morning skincare routine consists of a few of these products and I am absolutely in love with them right now.

I have combination skin (oily - dry skin) and a bit of acne-prone while I am stressed out or hormonal changes. I have hormonal imbalance so when that went haywire, I will have a lot of breakouts along the jaw line, chin and my left cheeks.

My morning routine starts from the right side towards the left side. These are the steps that I always do in the morning.

This is the steps that I do every morning.
      • Cleansing
      • Toner / Face Mist
      • Essence
      • Eye cream
      • Moisturiser
      • Sunscreen (SPF)
I use multiple cleansers for my face according to how my face is in the morning. If I have a lot of acne, I use either Acnes Foaming Wash  or Kiehl's Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser.

After that I dry my face with very soft and gentle towel. Then I spray the Puru Puru Mist on my face as a hydrating toner.

Then I apply the SK-II facial treatment essence. It has been my go to facial vitamin ever since my birthday since I went to their SK-II counter and I took the magic ring skin counselling on March 2015. Since then, I have been using it both day and night and I see a big difference. I have gone through 2 of 75ml bottles and this is the 3rd 75ml bottle. Since it is so expensive, I can only buy the small bottle each time.

The way that I apply is that I pat the essence with my palm even though the recommended way is to use cotton pads and swap it. I find using my palm is more effective since I do not waste the product on the cotton pad and I have all the control over the essence.

I apply the eye-cream after the essence and I concentrate around my pre-mature fine-lines and puffiness. This eye-cream is mainly for anti-aging. I do not have dark circles so I only use this eye-cream as to treat and prevent my pre-mature fine-lines before it get worse.

I use the St. Ives timeless skin collagen elastin moisturiser as my moisturiser both day and night. I bought it a while ago from CK (department store in Singapore that is less expensive than normal drugstore for drugstore skincare and body care products) and it was $4.50. It was so cheap that I had to go read the reviews about it and a lot of people are raving about this product.

I use it sparingly for both my face and neck and décolletage and I use this product for both day and night. Since it is a tub, I use a cotton swap to grab the product from the packaging to prevent the bacteria from growing. Sometimes, I even use it as a hand-cream.

Okay, hang in there, this is the last step. I use SPF daily. You should use SPF every day even if you are at home. It is so important to protect from sun damage. I use the √Čtude House Sunprise Super Aqua SPF 35 with PA++

So in recap, this is what I do for my skincare in the morning. I hope you enjoy reading this post. Please feel free to ask me questions about skincare if you have any questions.
