September 2017: Haul

Ahh, I feel like this month is a big purchase for me. A lot of things ran out and a lot of things came out that I wanted to try so let's start from the beginning shall we?

The Face Shop Sheet Masks
I was browsing around the face shop to look for moisturiser and I saw the sale of buy 10, get 10 free deal on their sheet masks. I have tried a few of their sheet masks and I quite enjoy it so when I saw this deal, I had to snag it.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I love this micellar water! I had ran out of my Sephora cleansing water so I thought I would give it a try and I fell in love after using once.

Skin Food Yuja Water C Whitening Ampoule
Another product that I fell in love almost immediately. I bought this to replace my moisturiser although I'm not using as a moisturiser right now. It was around $54.90 but I thought it was seriously worth it for me.

Tarte Tarteist Mascara
I have been trying this mascara out at Sephora for quite a while. I finally gave in and bought the travel size for myself because mascaras tend to expire wayy before they finish. I shall write a review about this mascara soon.

Listerine Mouthwash
I saw this mouthwash on sale and my old one was almost running out so, I just bought it to replace my old one. I quite enjoy using it though.

Innisfree Soybean Energy Eye Serum
Although I bought an eye cream for my eyes, I always forget to apply it so I have to involve in this eye serum to my skincare routine to see any results. So far, I'm excited to use this.

Laneige Two Tone Tint Lip in Fruits Candybar
I wasn't planning to buy this but my friend was buying the sleeping mask from Laneige and they're having sale when you purchase something. I thought it was a good deal so I bought it.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filter Soft Matte Long Wearing Foundation in 240
I wasn't planning to buy it but when I saw the shades, I knew I had to try it. So far, I'm really enjoying the shade and this foundation. I shall write a review soon!!

Sai Cosmetix Eyeshadow Palette in Gold Dust
It was really trending in Myanmar so I asked my friend to buy it from Myanmar. I still have not tried the eyeshadow palette as I was super busy with classes and assignments. I'm so excited to try the palette soon.

Sai Cosmetix Lip Cream in Be Mine
Another SAI product from Myanmar that I asked my friend to buy. From trying my friend's lip cream in another colour, the formula is very soft matte without drying too much of your lips. Although it's a bit drying but I'm curious of the colour. Be Mine is a nude colour if you are wondering.

My Week in Photos (Week 39)

This week was really boring week. I did my assignments at home without meeting my boyfriend. It was literally a week of going back and forth my lectures and home. I'm so excited to graduate soon at the same time, I'm going to miss my friends.

I miss meeting my boyfriend and have dinners together but I really need to finish up my assignments so that I can hang out with him and pack for my upcoming trip to Myanmar next week. I'm not sure I'll be able to upload a blog post when I'm there since I won't be having internet connection. I hope you can understand hehe

September 2017: Beauty Declutter

Next up, we have this month's decluttering session.

I have a few products that I want to share which I won't be using and decluttering. It's all skincare, body care and hair care products~

Color & Soin Mahogany Blonde Hair Dye
I have had this hair dye for a few months since I got it from buy 1 get 1 free and my hair currently is dyed black so I'm not dying my hair red for a while. So, instead of it just sitting at my house doing nothing, I'm going to be selling at my personal online shop.

Nivea In-Shower Skin Conditioner
I'm not really into skin conditioning and I've used up more than 60% of this conditioner. So, I'm just going to declutter it since it's been sitting in my shower for way too long. If you have dry skin and if you love lotions, you'll love this.

Foam Bath from Grand Hotel
This is the bath foam that I got from a hotel from way too long ago. I'm just straight to tossing it since it's been way too old.

Lolane Natural Hair Treatment
I loved using this hair treatment when I was back in Myanmar. It's like 3 years old so I'm just straight up tossing this product.

Lolane Color Shampoo in Natural Black
Another product that is way too old to be in my collection so I'm just tossing it. I've never used this product before so I don't know what to say about this product.

Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution
I loved it when I had some acne scarring back in the day. I stopped using when I don't have acne anymore so it has been in my collection for around one year. Since then, it had become yellow and gives a weird pungent smelling so I'm going to throw this product out.

September 2017: Beauty Empties

Time to another empties!

I love trying out new products. But I have a lot of makeup that is in my collection, so when I used up something, I rather really like it or just wanted to use up so that I can buy a new one.
During September, I finished a few products that is mainly skin care so let's go through what I finished.

Listerine Mouthwash
The last time I finished my mouthwash was during July empties, I decided to try a new mouthwash and I'm so pumped about this. After using this mouthwash, I realised myself how much I enjoyed using this. It has very gentle taste with a salty flavour and I like the fact that it has lemon in it. I really enjoyed using this mouthwash and I even repurchased this again for my next use.

Daiso Cleansing water
I raved about this product a lot last time in my videos and in some of my blogposts, I still enjoy it a lot. I think this is the most budget friendly cleansing water in the market and it make me sad that it's not buyable anymore.

Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water
Another one of my favourites cleansing water that I've used before. This is great for removing eye makeup and I really enjoyed using this a lot. The price is much higher so if you are really on a budget, look for daiso cleansing wipes.

Lush Veganese Conditioner
Although I've only tried it once, I was impressed by how light and airy this conditioner is. Sometimes, the conditioners that I use are super thick and heavy which makes my hair flat and make my scalp flaky. It's nice to use when you are a frequent hair washer.

Combos Skin Pomegranate Whitening Mask
Another face mask that I've raved about before and I still enjoy using these face masks. They are inexpensive when bought during sales, I got this for buy 1 get 1 free at $10 which has 10 sheets in one box. They are moisturising and can be used daily if needed.

September 2017: Beauty Favourites

I cannot believe it's almost October. I'm excited that I'm going to have a holiday back in my home country with my mother although I'm dreaded the 4 assignments due on the 1st. However, I wanted to share my September beauty favourites with you. I tried a lot of new things in September since I wanted some change so here I am, talking about what I loved during the month.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filter Soft Matte Long Wearing Foundation in 240
I never follow trends but when I saw the amount of foundation shades, I knew I had to try this foundation. It is a very long wearing foundation. Although it clings to the dry patches like crazy but when moisturised properly it'll look amazing. I prefer to use a beauty blender or sponge to apply this foundation and it gave me medium coverage with one coat of foundation.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I love this cleansing water way more than the blue one. It's very gentle on the skin and it has a bigger size which is a lot more budget friendly. Although the bigger version is more difficult to find in Singapore, when you found it, it's definitely worth it. It doesn't sting my eyes and you can even remove waterproof eyeliner with this cleansing water.

Skin Food Yuja Water C Whitening Ampoule
Although the actual Skin Food stores are only in Boon Lay and Tampanies in Singapore, you can find Skin Food in Guardian pretty much all the stores. I tried this Yuja water because of the brightening and moisturising benefits, I find it's really working well with my skin. It's great for any oily/combo girls who need a bit of tlc to brighten the skin, this might be the one for you.

Laneige Two Tone Tint Lip Bar in Fruits Candybar
I fell in love with this lip stick when I tried it for the first time in Sephora. I just fell in love and I'm still in love with this product. This two tone lip colour give me youthful look without too overpowering. It's very subtle looking while giving me amazing colour and tint to my lips. Highly recommend!

September 2017: Books Read

From this month, I want to add this section of books that I've read during the month at the end of every month. I want to add both manga and books that I've read but I couldn't add all the manga that I read since I read a lot more than books. So, I want to add some manga that I've read that I really enjoyed and give my readers a recommendation on the books and manga that I really enjoyed.

The life-changing magic of not giving a f*ck
I've read finished this book during the start of September and I really enjoyed reading this book. This book talks about the ways to stop spending time on things that I don't want to do without hurting other people's feelings. It was an interesting read and it gave me a new perspective on declining some things that I don't want to do in a more polite way without being a jerk. I enjoyed this book and I highly recommend you to read it.

Nobara no hanayome
This manga really caught my attention when reading the first chapter. It was about a girl who is strong although she was abandoned by her mother with the debt of 100 million yen. She was then bought by her classmate who is a heir of yakuza and she was to pretend as his fiancee. It was another interesting read and it's not that long to read so I really enjoyed reading it while going to university.

Kimi no sei
Another shojo and romance manga that caught my eye because of the synopsis. It was about the girl who was bullied when she was in school and then the person who bullied her forgot about her and fall in love with her. She hated him so much and thought to herself that she'll revenge on him. I thought it was a bit cliche and cringe worthy manga but the plot was put together and the art was super well drawn. There are some parts that I totally thought of skipping but it was a short and put together manga.

Kekkon shittemo koishiteru (I'm in love with you forever)
Another slice of life, romance and comedy manga that involves around a married couple and their kids. It was funny and yet so sweet that'll make you smile whenever you read them. I think a lot of couples (with or without children) will relate to the manga because of the relationship between a doting husband and his wife. It made me smile every single time I read it so I really recommend you to read it.

October Wishlist

I cannot believe it's already almost October already. As always, I want to share what kind of makeup and fashion items I want. Although I don't have intension to buy them but they are something I wish I buy during the month.

I've been wanting to try the wet and wild foundation for a long time and I saw them the other day but they didn't have my shade. But I'm not sure I'll be buying since I got Fenty Foundation the other day to try so I'm not currently looking for foundation to try. The eyeshadow palettes are the ones I've been wanting for a long time but they are just so expensive. I still have some eyeshadow palettes that I haven't tried and I haven't been doing a lot of eye makeup these days so I'm putting on hold for eyeshadows for a while. Fashion wise, I want to get ripped jeans for once in my life. I'm not sure it'll look good on me but I want to try wearing one. I'm also looking for a simple black tee for wearing them out to run errands or just meeting my boyfriend for dinner.

So, these are my wish list for October. I'll be writing what I bought during September in a few days and let me know what is your wish list for the month in the comments.

Where I splurge & save on beauty habits as an university student

Saving money is important for everyone. When you are an university student, you need to take note of the importance of handling money. Today, I want to share with my take on saving as money as I can in beauty habits when splurging on some items.

First of all, I'm just a normal university student that doesn't work part time job. I can't work part time job while I'm studying because of the Singapore law so I only rely on my pocket money to save and splurge on beauty habits. I also want to go through the different categories of beauty habits and where to save them. I'm also not a perfect person. Sometimes, I spend my money on weird items which I regret doing after I've done so I want to share with you what kind of stupid mistakes and share with you how to avoid them.

Let's start with body care.

Body care products
I actually save a lot of products on body care since I tend to buy my shower gel/soap during on sale. I'm not a lotion kind of person but whenever I feel like my skin is super dry, I tend to stock up my favourite lotion during sales. I also don't have a bath tub at my house so I save a lot of money in bath bombs, bubble wash and such.

I recommend you to take care of body in shower while giving a good scrub and moisturise them while saving money for other splurge items.

Spa
I save a lot of money by not going to spas. Although I found my love for spas during my trip to Indonesia, I decided that I rather save up for travel and splurge there instead of spending a lot of money on spa in Singapore. Singapore is extremely expensive in terms of spa prices so I recommend to save up money to go to travel or do things you love to do.

Hair care products
If you read my monthly beauty favourites, you'll see my love for hair care products. But I tend to research and spend my wisely on hair care products. I buy them when they are on sale and I only use one particular brand after another. Currently, I'm rotating two types of shampoos depending on my hair condition. Take care of the scalp by messaging your scalp during shower. Moisturise your hair ends with a good conditioner and towel dry which will make your hair healthier.

Salons, hair cuts, dying hair and straightening/curling
I'm guilty of splurging my money on hair cuts and dying hair and straightening hair in 2017. I spent a lot more than I should have in terms of salon visits. I regret a bit of spending that much money on hair salons to make my hair nice and straight.

I have naturally curly hair and I tend to rebond/straighten my hair every year to keep it straight. I should spend less money on straightening all the time since it damages the hair and my wallet every time.

In terms of colouring, I tend to do it so often these days. I'm not sure of the reason but my grey hair has been growing a lot more than my black hair so to hide them, I tend to colour a lot. Colouring at home will save a lot of money while giving a good results but I tend to colour at a salon for better colour pay off and even layering.

From these mistakes that I made, I recommend you to colour at your home if you are planning to colour your hair. There are many home kits on colouring, straightening and curling hair if you want to save a lot of money. Another alternative is to go hair and makeup schools and allow the students to cut your hair. They will be much more affordable than having a director of stylist cut your hair at a salon.

Hair styling tools
I have bought hair styling tools in the past and I have not yet bought a new one this year. The only new hair styling tool that I got is a Dyson hair dryer as a gift from my boyfriend which I use whenever I wash my hair. Buying quality hair styling tools can last for many years which can save you a lot of money.

Nail Salons
To be honest, I don't spend money on both nail salons and nail polishes. But if you are a nail lover, I would recommend you to have a spa day during weekends or whenever you are free and give messages to your hands and feet and indulge in wearing a new nail polish that you love instead of going to nail salons.

Skincare
This is the part where I'll tell you to splurge your money on good skincare. However, I'm not telling you to get the most expensive skin care products that may or may not work on your skin. So, I'll be telling you to research and research for your skin type and pay attention to skincare items that you use and figure out which ingredients work best for your skin. Even though I say that you can splurge your hard earned money on skincare, I'll also be saying that some drugstore skincare items are gems that are extremely good so look for both drugstore and high end skincare. If you can find a good drugstore item that works for your skin, it's going to be a score for both your skin and your wallet.

Makeup
I'll be doing a more thorough blogpost on makeup items but in general, there are many makeup items that are good in drugstore and you can always keep an eye out for sale to save even further. If I were to look at my spending behaviour on makeup items, I mostly splurge on foundation where I tend to save a lot on other makeup items.

I'll do a splurge and save break down on makeup items in a future post. So, stay tuned.

My Week in Photos (Week 38)

I had an awesome yet awful week this week. I was so happy eating cakes and having fun with my friends and when the weekend arrived, I started having toothache. After waiting for a few days, I decided that I couldn't stand anymore so I went to the dental clinic to see the doctor. The dentist told me that my wisdom tooth has tooth decay as well as it was too big for being a wisdom teeth. So, they recommended me to remove it.

The pain was incredibly strong though it was more of gradual pain. The thing that I hated the most was that I was not able to eat food properly. I was only able to eat egg and other soft meals and I wasn't able to eat spicy food. It was incredibly depressing hahahaha....

3 Sheet Masks you should try

After a week of not writing any post on my blog, I am thrilled to be back on writing before I get extremely busy with university work. Life is getting tougher when I'm at the last trimester of Master degree. The good thing for my blog was that I have a few blogposts that I have already written so I can just schedule them. I will talk about my tips on blogging every day in a few weeks. I just need to think about what tips that helped me the most during my time.

But today, I want to talk about the sheet masks. I have been face masking for a long time and I love face masks. When you give proper time to do them as much as you can in one week, your skin will thank you for giving amazing treatment after a full day of stress, makeup, oil, environmental pollution and dust combined in those little pores.

So, one tip that I want to share with to maximise the potential of any face masks to have a proper cleansing routine. Cleanse your face throughly without any harsh chemicals but a gentle and nice cleanser and then apply face masks.

Daiso Horse Oil Sheet Mask
I was as shocked as you when I saw horse oil sheet mask from Daiso. In Japan, using horse oil in beauty products are not rare at all and you'll see a lot of sheet masks and skin care items using horse oil. But for the texture and the quality of the sheet mask is good. It's moisturising to the skin and it replenishes the skin. They also have other sheet masks that has different ingredients if horse oil is not your thing. It is around $2 from Daiso in Singapore so it is at a affordable price.

Watsons Refreshing and Moisturising Facial Mask
If you have been following my blog, this facial mask is one of my favourites and this was a gift from my friend's mom. I loved using it because of how refreshing it feels on my skin. It has a wide sheet to cover my giant face and it moisturises my skin very nicely. Will recommend to all skin types.

Timeless Truth, Hydra Intense Black Charcoal Mask
This sheet mask is the most expensive one out of all three. I love the fact that it is charcoal mask so it will remove impurities at the same time providing a nice moisture back to the skin. Surprisingly, it became one of my favourite masks to put on although I use it sparingly just because of the price. If you are normal oilly gal, I recommend you to use normal charcoal mask as this is more catered towards moisturising.

5 Product Summer Face

Usually, I would do this kind of post as a video but this time, I wanted to branch out and try different things on a whim. So, please bare with me if I didn't write this blogpost properly.

Summer in this little island is extremely hot and humid so I thought I would give a more simple and natural look that focuses on the brows and the lips. Usually, a lot of people skip foundation and go towards concealer. But in my case, I rather have a flawless base that is not too cakey and not too "bare-faced".
Since my skin is a combination-oily and yet dehydrated, I thought I would go with a foundation that doesn't cake my face up. So I decided to go with Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation. Although in this humid weather, it doesn't last long but I wanted to go for a natural look that doesn't cake up my face so I traded the longevity of wear time with the finish.

I set my foundation with the L'Oreal Matte Magique Mattifying Powder (L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Powder is also a good one). After setting the face, I went straight to brows. Since the face is so bare without blush and contour, I thought that having a strong brows is nicer to frame the face and have a center point of the face. I also use the same brow powder to line my eyes as a subtle eyeliner.

After that I curled my lashes and applied mascara from Maybelline. Then for the lips, I decided to go for NYX's lingerie liquid lip colour in Exotic. However, when I took the photos of my face, I already switched my lip colour so that's why you see I have different lip colour. The lipstick that I used was from Catrice and the colour is called "My little peony".
I hope you enjoyed this blog style makeup look that has only 5 products. Let me know in the comments on what kind of blogposts you want me to do next. Thank you for reading and I'll see you tomorrow!

Favourite Mascaras for Summer

Mascaras were never a thing for me up until recently. I thought they never make a difference and they are a pain to take off and they ruin my makeup by smudging under my lower lash line. But when I found a good mascara that doesn't budge in summer for my oily lids, I was beyond excited.

I want to share my excitement for mascaras with you in this blogpost. I have three mascaras that are good for summer weather and my everyday mascaras for a few months and some even my favourites for years now.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara is my staple mascara that I use almost every single day. I love how long lasting it is on my lashes and it gives decent volume and length to my eye lashes. It doesn't smudge on my lower lash line and it is drugstore price so it's a score.

Maybelline the Rocket mascara is another favourite for a few years and it is so good in keeping the lashes long and volumized. I love using this mascara when I only have half day school because it's not as intense as the lash sensational one because the lash sensational one is a pain to remove. The rocket one come off quite easily.

My one and oily expensive mascara that I'm in love for summer is the Benefit they're real mascara. I also really love the roller lash but I haven't been using it since it's finished and I haven't bought a new one yet. I got this mascara for free since it's a travel sized one and I was impressed on how lengthy and more volumized this mascara can give you. Although it's not as long lasting as the Maybelline lash sensational one for me, I enjoy using this mascara whenever I need a good volumized lashes, I grab this masacra.

So, this is my favourite mascaras for summer. Most of them are drugstore so they are affordable and long lasting and look good. Let me know any other mascaras that you've tried that lasted you all day that you can't live without.

To my boyfriend of 4 years on our anniversary

Dear my boyfriend of 4 years,

Happy Anniversary Marcus. I cannot believe it's been four years that we have been together and I'm still pretty much amazed that we have been through so much in this 4 years. So much memories, so much laughter, pouts and occasional sadness. But my happiness of being with you always outweigh the sadness.

We have graduated together, spent everyday during our university life, stressed out from coding and studying while finding time to have fun. These days we have both been so busy with our lives. You, working and working, and me, trying to finish my master degree, have so little time together that we eat and go back to our lives. Our lives involved around food and these days we only do that. Not that I'm complaining but I think we need to start working out. Going towards a more healthy lifestyle. I know that we try to spend more time on weekends but it's a bit tough when I got assignments due. I'm excited for the end of the year to go on a lovely trip with you and have fun.
So, in this letter, I want to say things that I didn't say so often but I should say more often. I know we have been together for more than 4 years, I'm still so excited to meet you for dinners. Although I'm annoyed at you for trying to rub my belly (what's with you and the love for my belly?), I'm very appreciate of you being by my side whenever I need you.

So, ......

Thank you for being by my side.

Thank you for feeding me since I totally starve myself when I'm alone at home.

Thank you for always sending me back home even if you are very tired from work.

Thank you for always make your time for me.

Thank you for saying me beautiful when if I look like crap.

Thank you for being with me even if I get annoyed at you all the time.

Thank you for taking care of me all the time and help me when I'm in need.

Thank you for always supporting me through serious mental breakdowns and through stressful times.

Last but not least,

Thank you for loving me endlessly. I'm the luckiest girl to have you. Happy 4 years anniversary and I'm excited for the future. I love you more than you can imagine.

Yours,
Reyar

August 2017: Beauty Haul

This time round, I bought things that I needed again and some things that I bought because it was on sale at the drugstore.

Colgate Enamel Toothpaste (2 for $11.50)
I finally finished using the old toothpaste from Colgate so this time, I decided to buy something that is intended for the enamel health. I also got a sale on this toothpaste at 2 for $11.50.

Another sale that I caught from the drugstore is from Watsons. They have this sale when you buy 3 things, you get 33% off of the total price. You are able to mix and match certain brands either be makeup products or skincare products. So, I decided to get the things that are raved amongst the reviewers and cult favourites which are on my wishlist for a while.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation (Buy 3 get 33% off)
I am so excited to try the Fit Me foundation. Although this product has been in the market in US for so long, we don't have this product available in Singapore market. Recently, they finally introduced this product in Singapore so I decided to purchase and give it a try.

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer (Buy 3 get 33% off)
Another product that is recently introduced in Singapore drugstores. This product is highly raved by the beauty bloggers and vloggers that I adore so I got sucked in and purchase. Another reason was that my drugstore is having sale for buy 3 get 33% off. I will try it and write reviews about it soon.

Loreal Color Riche in Sunset in Cannes (Buy 3 get 33% off)
I have been going to Watsons and trying this lipstick for so many times. I thought I was a nude lover but I guess I was wrong. I love this lipstick colour and I can't wait to wear it more often. Also, it was on sale so, I decided to purchase since I love the colour so much.

Lush Fresh Face Mask in Don't Look at Me
Another thing that I have been trying from samples but never decided to buy the full size one. This time, I finally gave in after trying for so many times. I adore this mask and I was thinking I want to do face masks everyday (which I'm failing to do in September).

Lush Fresh Face Mask in Rosy Cheeks (Sample)
When I bought the Don't look at me face mask, Lush has kindly gave me a few of their other fresh face masks to try out. This is one of the two. I'm so excited to try this because of the rose scent and the benefits that I heard from the promoter. Can't wait to use it!

Lush Fresh Face Mask in Love Lettuce (Sample)
Another face mask that I got from Lush. I have yet to try the Love Lettuce so I am excited to try the face mask. I heard great things about the love lettuce on how soft the skin felt and how moisturised the skin felt after using. I'll be trying this face mask tonight and will let you know how it went.

Renew Rose Hip Oil
Ohhh, rose hip oil, I love how it made my skin radiant and plump from the first bottle. I decided to buy a second bottle to test using it on my arms because my whole body is a freaking Sahara desert. Also, I think rose hip oil lightened my acne scarring so I'm hoping it would do the same thing to my arms.

July 2017: Beauty Haul

July is a month where I got fed up of things I'm currently using and wanting to try new stuff. So, this month I have a few makeup bits and bobs to try out and I'm excited to use them.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
A foundation that has been raved from bloggers to vloggers and I was very excited to try this product. Although it is intentional to more normal to dry skin because of it's hydration components, I wanted to try this product because my other foundations have become a cake face for me. So I wanted to try a new foundation that doesn't cake my face and yet doesn't become an oil slick for me. So, I'm excited to try.

L.A Girl Pro BB Cream
Another foundation that I wanted to try because of the reviews. I tried it on my palms and it looks amazing on my hands and it was affordable in Singapore where drugstore prices are like Sephora prices to buy makeup in Singapore. So, just around $12 is extremely affordable in Singapore. I'll keep you posted after I have tried this foundation/BB cream.

Listerine Mouthwash
Mouthwash has become one of the thing that I do after brushing my teeth so I'm always trying new mouthwashes. This time round, I decided to buy the Healthy White Range from Listerine to try out.

Tsubaki Extra Moist Shampoo
After using the Tusbaki conditioner for a few months, I really enjoyed the scent and how it works on my hair. I wanted to have a same shampoo that I was using the conditioner with. I'm excited for my hair to smell nice and feel moisturised and soft.

Lux Soap
Lux soaps are the bar soaps that my family use when I was young. My mother still uses Lux since I was a baby and she loves the shower cream so I decided to give it a go to remanence my childhood. It was so affordable for six bars of soap which costed me like $2.50.

My Week in Photos (Week 37)

omg I feel so bad. I forgot that today is Friday and I haven't prepared my blogpost for today. So, although it's a tad bit late, I hope you enjoy this blogpost.

I had a wonderful weekend last week going around and eating good food with my boyfriend. I also went to Chara Expo on Saturday and I took loads of photos. One of them was this selfie that I took with Kanna-chan. She's so cute that I'm dying. Another highlight was going to Sephora and trying out the new Fenty beauty line by Rihanna and I bought my own foundation that I'm so excited. The last photo was a selfie of me trying out the foundation. I had a bit of bronzer and have highlighter (Champange pop by Becca) on my cheek bones. I'll write a blogpost about it soon.

June 2017: Haul

It's already been time to do my June haul. I cannot believe I have been daily blogging trying to put an end to my blogging projects up to speed. I'm super thrilled about my progress about my blog schedule. I will do my blogging essentials soon so let's talk about haul, shall we?

Sigma 18-35 mm f1.8 Lens
June was a big spending month since I was saving up money to buy a new lens. I was conflicted between the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 lens and Sigma 17-55 f2.8 lens. Both of the lens are very nice lenses but there is a $400 price difference between the 2 lens so I was thinking really hard which one to get. After thinking so hard for so many days, I got the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 lens which has a higher price but has a much better quality when it comes to the image quality.

75mm UV Lens
When I bought the lens, I was recommended to get a UV lens to go with it so that it will protect the lens. And therefore I got the UV lens for my Sigma lens.

Anello Backpack
I was using my old backpack for more than one year and it has started to deteriorate so much since it's always carrying my old and heavy MacBook Pro and my textbooks so I needed a new backpack. I wanted a backpack that fits my laptop, and have a front pocket for easy reach and have two side pockets for my water bottle and my umbrella. So, when I saw it, I thought it was perfect. One, it's black, and two, it has all the requirements that I needed.

Daiso sheet masks in Pearl Barley, Camellia Oil, Black Pearl, Horse Oil, Sakura, Matcha
Sheet Masks are a life saver to me when it comes to picking up the skin from dull and dehydrated skin. So I keep looking for sheet masks that I can use daily and not breaking my bank. I like to try new sheet masks from various brands so that I can choose which ones that work and which didn't. I was so excited when I saw Daiso have sheet masks. They had sheet masks for 7 days last time which I adored so I'm looking forward to try them all.

May 2017: Beauty Haul

May.... In this blogpost, I wanted to share what I bought during the month of May. May was the month where Sephora has the VIB sale of 20% off from all products within Sephora catalog so I managed to snatch a few items from it. Others are my necessities which I bought when I needed at that time.

Tsubaki Extra Moist Conditioner
My Loreal hair conditioner has finally run out so I decided to buy a new conditioner. One of my friend is a huge fan of this Tsubaki range of shampoo and conditioner, and she was planning to buy the shampoo and the drugstore has the promotion of buy 1 get 1 free so we decided to buy both conditioner and shampoo and half the price within ourselves. I was so excited to try this conditioner since I was a huge fan of the scent.

Listerine Natural Green Tea Mouth Wash
I was into using mouth wash ever since I tried this mouth wash a while back and I keep buying again whenever I ran out of it. This purchase was one of the things I buy when I ran out of the previous product.

Dr. Bronner's Castile Bar Soap in Peppermint
I ran out of my shower gel and I wanted to try Dr. Bronner's soaps since they are very popular and vegan and organic. I wanted to try using products that are organic so that's why I decided to try this product.

Next, we have 2 products that I bought from Sephora during the VIB sale.
Becca Ever-Matte Pore-less Priming Perfecter
I'm so excited to use this primer. I am currently using the Benefit Porefessional and the Touch In Sol No Poreblem Primer so I am yet to use this primer. I heard a lot of good news about this product for oily skin which have large pores (like mine) so I'm so excited to try this very soon.

Zoeva Rose Golden Eyeshadow Palette
I fell in love with the eyeshadow palette because of the colours. I love rose gold colours so rose gold palette was in my wishlist for the longest time. I saw the reviews and the swatches from other bloggers and vloggers so I decided to buy it and try it.

April 2017: Beauty Haul

Let's do a haul. I have been keeping track of what I buy and I wanted to try for a while so this month I decided to purchase a few things to try out.

Aesop Amazing Cleanser
I have heard of Aesop cleanser for a long time and I've been trying out their samples for a few times. I really love how they felt on my skin that is not drying yet at the same time, the cleanser melt down the remaining of my makeup. Another thing I like about this cleanser is the scent of it. It's so spa like and I really love it. If I were to say which things I don't like about is the price. It was insanely expensive (S$65) for one bottle but I thought it was a good investment.

Innisfree Persimmon Toner
This is the second bottle that I'm using this toner. The last one that I used finished not long ago so I decided to repurchase it again since I love how cooling it feels on my skin. It is refreshing on the skin, removes impurities from the pores and tone my skin at the same time. I'm so excited to try this new toner. Let me know any good toners for me to use so please do recommend your favourites.

NYX Total Cover Foundation
I have been hearing a lot of good reviews about this foundation and I'm definitely a foundation junkie. I love trying new foundations and find out what foundations work for me and what doesn't. So when I found new foundation, I always buy and try. Even if I already have lots of foundation on hand, I always buy them.

NYX Lingerie in Exotic
I was looking around in the NYX store and I saw that they have lingerie collection in stock and I didn't have any liquid lipstick so I decided to give it a go. It's not the usual nude liquid lipstick that everyone goes for. I'm excited to try. When I tired it on my lips at the store, it's so drying so I really hope that it doesn't dry out my lips.

March 2017: Haul

I have a few products that I got during March so let's do a haul. This month, I didn't buy a lot of makeup items.

Feiyu G4S - 3 Axis Handheld Gimbal
I was planning to go to Batam in April so I decided to purchase a gimbal for my GoPro. I bought it for using my GoPro as one of the cameras for my travel videos. I managed to use this gimbal in Batam but there is nothing much to see in Batam so I need to use it more often.

Watsons Shower Gel
It's not in my photo because I've already finished using up the product. I love how it feels on the skin and it smells amazing like a spa. I really enjoyed using the product. I was so excited to try to smell good for my body.

Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water
I bought the travel size version of the cleansing water because I knew that I would be going to Indonesia and I would need some type of makeup remover to remove my makeup over there. So, I bought the travel sized version.

Lush Shampoo Bar in Godiva
I love my New Shampoo Bar from Lush and I love using that product in my hair. However, it's drying for my hair so I thought I should try using more moisturising and conditioning shampoo bars from Lush and this has become of my favourite shampoo bar from them. I prefer the scent of the New shampoo bar but this smells like a refreshing jasmine scent and it feels very conditioning for my hair. Overall, excited to use the product.

February 2017: Beauty Haul

Whenever you see a huge haul, you'll know that I was either depressed or in serious stress conditions. After changing my lifestyle, although I still buy stuff, I buy way less to save my money and not have so much stuff. This month, I purchased a lot of eyeshadow since I was planning to make more of tutorials using different palettes. So, February was the month where I buy eyeshadows.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette
I was so excited to try this palette out because of all the beauty gurus and the fuss that was made during that time of the year so I decided to buy this. Fast forward to September, I still haven't opened this palette to use and it's still brand new. I still want to try this palette one day so I'm just keeping it in the box.

Etude House Personal Colour Palette in Warm Tone
Another palette that I wanted to try and when I swatched in stores, I was shocked on how creamy they are. But since I haven't tried yet, I don't know how good it will be in terms of blending, colour payoff, pigment falloff, and the ease of use. But, I'm so excited to try this palette out and make use of it.

Morphe Small Palette in 12S
This was an inspired Morphe eyeshadow palette so it's not the real deal. I have never tried the original Morphe palette so I don't know how it compare. The price is significantly lower than the original palette, the colour pay off is quite good from swatching.

Eyeshadow Makeup Shimmer Matte Eyeshadow Palette
I bought this palette from Qoo10 thinking that it would be a nice palette. However, I was kind of disappointed. The matte shadows are not as blend-able and the pigmentation is not that great. I will give you a more through review on this product so stay tuned.

Etude House Dear My Enamel Eyes-talk in OR202
I've never had a cream eyeshadow so I was excited to try this. When I tried this product on my arms in store, I was wowed by the pigmentation and the pay-off so I decided to buy this product. I still haven't use the product but I'm so excited to try the product out.

Catrice Prime and Fine Primer
There was a 20% off sale from Guardian (Singapore drugstore) at that time  so I decided to buy the famous primer from Catrice. There were a lot of reviews about this product and it's quite inexpensive so I decided to try this out. I'm so excited to try this product out.

Catrice Bronzer in Hot Tan
Another 20% off product from Guardian and this bronzer is a limited edition and it blends so nicely. I decided to try this because of my Essence bronzer, super old and super worn out, was ready for me to purge.

August 2017: Beauty Declutter

In this month, I want to purge the products that I haven't used or lightly used and don't see myself using soon. I have a few that I'm purging and sell them on sites like ebay or gumtree or similar sites.

Sephora Birthday 3 Mini Eyeshadow Pans
I have had this product twice in 2 executive years and this time round I decided to purge with it since I'm using the old one. The quality is not bad and I like the colours. But I already have one set so I don't see myself using another set. It's brand new in the box so I decided to purge it from my collection and sell it. This is the set I got for this year's birthday so it's not that old also.

Sephora Birthday 2 Blushes
Another birthday present that I got from Sephora this year. I have never gotten the blush before but the reason why I'm purging it was because I don't see myself wearing the product. I already have blushes that I truly love and they last a long time so I'm just parting ways with it. I'll also be selling this product as well since it's still in the packet brand new.

Sephora Wishes Come True Eye & Face Palette
This is a face and eye palette from Sephora from last year's Christmas collection. I love the colours and I've touched a few of them to swatch and play around but they are lightly used so I decided to sell as pre-loved product. The quality is nice but I don't use it as much as I would like them to be so hence the purging.

The Balm Betty Lou Manizer
I love this product. I use Betty Lou as a blush, bronzer and highlighter combined. Sometimes I even use it as eyeshadow. But I don't reach this product as much as I would like to anymore so I decided to part ways with it. The quality is very blend-able and pigmented so if you are thinking of purchasing it, I would highly recommend it.

Essence All About Roses Eyeshadow Palette
Another palette that I'll be parting ways. I don't mind this palette since it's not too bad but it doesn't wow me either. I would like it use it more often but I rarely reach for it so I'm decluttering it from my collection.

Urban Decay Naked Flushed in Streak
Another product that I like but never reach for it. It's very lightly used so I'm planning to sell it as pre-loved. The quality is nice and very compact but I never reach for it for some reason. Hence, the reason for selling it.

NYX Glitter in Gold
It won't be in the photo because I've already sold it. It was the product that was sold before I took photograph for this blogpost. It was almost brand new and gently used so I decided to sell it. The quality is nice though. I love the glitters but I'm the person who doesn't wear glitter so much so I just decided to sell it.

My Week in Photos (Week 36)

This week was kind of a special week where we got one public holiday on September 1st. So, my boyfriend and I went shopping for his work clothes since he really needed a few and we just walked around and ended our day with beef steak.

I was so tired these days. Maybe because I'm getting too fat from my food and the energy levels are really low almost everyday for the past week. Saturday, I was sleeping the whole day and half of Sunday. The bf's parents decided to go Changi beach for a walk at Sunday evening so we took a long walk under the sun. It was horrible and yet at the same time, I get a bit of my exercise in. We ate at the Changi Village hawker centers and ate that pork cutlet for $6. It was so tasty and so good after a long walk. Monday, I went to school as usual. Nothing unusual. Tuesday, I went to renew my passport and I walked more than 10km on Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday, nothing much happened. Just went to school and study a bit.

I really need to do something about my energy levels. I cannot just let this happen for most days. I need to eat a bit less and exercise more often to keep my body fit. That'll be my goal for October maybe.
