September 2017: Monthly Goals

This is the first time I'm writing a blog post about my monthly goals. If you have saw my New Year Goals and my post on Mid-year resolution check, you'll know that my main goal is to finish my MBA, learn about myself and read more books and create more.... and so on.

Well, they are indeed the goals that I'm trying to achieve but at the same time, I feel that some of them are too broad to actually do so I want to create this section called "Goals" where I talk about my short-term goals for the month or for the week even if I have some goals that I want to accomplish.

I'm not exactly a habit tracker person since I can't do routine things on a daily basis. But I still have goals that I want to do every month and there are things that I do without even saying to anyone. So, from September, I thought I would check in and write a blogpost about my goals for keep sake. It's like writing my goals down in some book that I no longer keep but digitally and let people read my goals.

So, these are the goals that I would like to accomplish in September.

In September, I would like to keep up with the $3 savings per day.
In August, I did a $3 savings per day in order to save up money since I've been spending quite a lot of money these days. I want to keep up with that savings. If you are wondering that I save up very little, well, it's because I only get $20 per day for my food, transportation, clothing, detergent, toiletries and everything else so it's quite difficult to save up. But, I still want to save up money so that's my goal for the month.

In September, I would like to keep up with my face masking everyday routine.
In August, I did face masking every single day for the most part and I loved how it made my skin feel so, I want to continue with that. Although it's annoying when you are super sleepy but it's okay if you skip a day or two. I didn't do everyday during August but for most of the days so, I'm still pumped to do masking. Also, my skin felt amazing so I would like to continue in September as well.

In September, I would like to read more.
Well, it's not like I'm not reading in other months. In July, I finished like 3 books and in August, 2 books and I really enjoy reading. Especially while on the train (MRT) because usually I don't get to sit down in the MRT so I would like to read and spend time while I'm on the train. So, I would like to continue that pace to read more.

I hope it will help you or motivate you to start having small goals every month that you look forward to. I'll see you tomorrow with my "My Week in Photos" series.

September Wishlist 2017

Again, August just flown by like crazy. Well, at least, I got some rest during the one week break and now, I'll be getting ready for my last trimester of Master degree. Can't believe I'm going to be a graduate again soon. But that topic is going to be in another blog post so for today, I wanted to tell a bit of my September wish list.

I've always wanted a good mascara and I heard L'Oreal came out with the very good one called "Lash Paradise" but I cannot find it in Singapore (as usual) so I'm just going to put it in my wish list. I also wanted some long sleeve dressy blouses for fall and winter (let's be honest, Singapore is always summer) just in case I get cold in aircons. I'm also looking for some drugstore makeup to try but it's not that important since I'm trying to finish my stuff before I buy a new one. So, this is my wish list for September.

August 2017: Beauty Empties

Today is the day of empties blog post. I'm excited to write this blog post. I don't have much products that are empties for this month but let's start. Also, before we start, if you haven't read my yesterday's August Beauty Favourites, go check it out. So, let's start!

Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack in Bamboo
This product is kinda awesome. It's a sleeping mask that is very moisturising and affordable and easy to carry. I brought this recipe pack to Japan last year as my mask and I love it. It's very moisturising and easy to carry around. I even used it on the plane to make my skin breathe and hydrate on the plane. Will definitely repurchase.

The Gold Premium Face Mask
In August, I decided to do face masking every day and this is the main sheet mask that I use. I bought it from BHG a while back and it's been so difficult to use finish because it has 50 sheet masks inside. It is made to use everyday so I've been using it for most days in August. I don't mind this product since it's only around S$29 and it has 50 sheet masks so it's cheaper than the original sheet masks. It gives my skin enough moisture and it's very hydrating. The only complaint that I have is it's small for my face. Well, it's made for Japanese who have smaller faces and my face is giant so can't complain much. All in all, it was a nice sheet mask if you are wanting to try sheet masks and it'll last you a long time.

Colgate Optic White Toothpaste
Finally, I used up another toothpaste. It's very difficult for me to use up an entire toothpaste since I live alone so whenever I use up a toothpaste, I'm super happy. For this toothpaste, it's better than my last one in whitening my teeth and it's reasonable price from Colgate. Tip: always buy them whenever they are on sale for buy one get one free. It's more worth it.

Etude House Real Art Cleansing Oil
Ever since I finished my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water in July, I decided to make use of my oil cleansers since I rarely use oil to clean my face. It's a sample that I got from Etude House long ago so I decided to start using them before they are ruined. It was an okay cleansing oil. Not too spectacular about the oil so I won't be repurchasing it again.

Magic Clean Bathroom Cleaner
I think that making my room clean and tidy is part of the beauty routine for my overall health and therefore, I always tend to add what bathroom cleaner or what detergent I use as part of my beauty empties. If you read my February Empties, I also added this bathroom cleaner in that post. I've been using this particular product for 4 years and I always go back to this cleaner to clean my bathroom. That's how much I love this product. Always repurchasing until I find a better one.

August 2017: Beauty Favourites

I cannot believe it's already very near to September already. Time flies so fast don't you think? If you haven't read my August Wishlist from yesterday's post, I'll link it here, please go check it out. I'll be posting August beauty empties tomorrow so come back tomorrow.

I cannot believe my university is starting today. I'm excited and at the same time dreaded to go back since it's my last term and I'll be graduating soon. The reason why I'm dreaded to go back was because I want more holidays. One week of holidays is not enough for my butt to rest.

But, since it's a beauty post, I'll keep why I need more holidays in a later post. Let's start with the beauty favourites.

First Aid Beauty (FAB) Ultra Repair Lip Therapy
I forgot how moisturising it is for my lips. Although I've been focusing on my face for hydration, I totally forgot about my lips so when I decided to use it again, it immediately became my favourites again because of how moisturising it is for my lips.

Innisfree Apple Seed Deep Cleansing Foam
If you read my February Beauty Favourites, you'll see that I added this product as my favourites. 6 months later, it's still my favourites and been using it for quite a long time already. It is around S$13-15 from Innisfree and it's so value to money and yet amazing quality for cleansing my skin. It removes what's left over from my skin and it doesn't make my skin dry.

Meswak Toothpaste
Well, this toothpaste is a random one that I bought in Myanmar because of how amazing the scent is. Although the product is not intended for whitening the teeth, it smells amazing and clean my teeth properly and I just love it. It's like S$3 so it's so budget friendly toothpaste to use.

Listerine Healthy White Mouth Wash
I've been using mouthwashes recently because I like how it disinfects my entire mouth including my teeth. Even when I brush my teeth twice a day, there are some areas that my toothbrush cannot reach and the mouth wash is the best solution for cleaning those hard to reach parts. It's inexpensive from the drugstore as well.

Lush Don't Look At Me Fresh Face Mask
After trying out the fresh face masks from them for a couple of times with the samples, I decided to give a shot at the Don't look at me face mask and I fell in love. It's very exfoliating and after washing it leaves one layer of hydration goodness and I just love how amazing my skin felt after using it.

Lush Oatifix Fresh Face Mask
With the purchase of the Don't look at me mask, I asked for a few samples from Lush for me to try on my face and among them, this face mask is the one I love for so many reasons. Although all Lush fresh face masks are super messy (have to use in sink), the way they perform is out of the world for my face. I'm definitely going to purchase the oatifix when I finish my "Don't look at me" one.

August 2017: Wishlist

Where did the month go to be honest? August just flew by in a snap and it's almost September already. I finished all my final exams and now I'm off to waiting my results to come out. Fingers crossed that I get some good grades.

Any who, this month is a productive month for me as I wrote a lot of blogposts while having exams. I wish I'm this productive all the time. If you have been living under a rock, I wrote my beauty favourites from January to July during this couple of weeks and my monthly beauty empties on this blog so go check it out. If you also haven't checked out my "My week in photos" series on every Friday, also check the series out. :) (okay, shameless self plug in just finished, so let's get into the wish list)

Although, I didn't need anything, there are a couple of things that I want to try in the beauty department and in fashion pieces, I wanted some really good fitted jeans. Although I didn't get to buy my wish list for this month, but these are the products that I wanted to try during the month of August.

Also, I have been wanting mascara since my mascara is running really low and I want to try the Benefit they're real mascara since I've heard a lot of great things about this mascara.

July 2017: Wishlist

Before I start anything, I want to let you know that I've been updating my monthly favourites and monthly empties blogposts for the past few weeks so that I can catch up on my blogging schedules. I'm trying my best to schedule the blogposts and write them on time so that they can go up on time.

So, although it's already a month late, I wanted to share my July wish list with all of you. This month, I actually wanted some timeless pieces for my wardrobe and for my anniversary date with my boyfriend. If you have followed my "My Week in Photos" series, you'll see what I wore to my anniversary date with Marcus.

I have been looking for a good foundation that is good for oily/combo skin and at the same time, gives me enough moisture for my partially dry areas on my face. I wanted some foundations to try whether they are good or not. So, here's the wish list.

My Week in Photos (Week 34)

I finally have one week of holidays for this week and I'm so pumped about it. Time to rest my ass off and do my blog plan for the month. Well, this week was uneventful week since it's finally my time to rest and write some of my blogging stuff since I'm back to blogging everyday.

I'm so excited to eat KFC's double down since last time it came out (around 4 years ago), I was in Myanmar and I missed to eat. So, this time, I definitely ate double down which is like 2 pieces of meat as bun and in the middle is bacon and pineapple and some condiments (sounds so fatty food) but it tasted so good!

Eventful things that I did was taking photos of my blogposts, fiddling with photoshop and watching anime when I have free time. I don't want to go back to school next Monday! But I'm excited because it's my last trimester and after this, I'll be a graduate. Can't wait to graduate and find job and start earning income.

July 2017: Beauty Empties

This is my last empties blogpost for the month since I've finally caught up with all the monthly beauty favourites and monthly empties starting from January and till current month, August. I'm so excited that I caught up my debt hehe. I shall be updating my August favourites in 4 days so stay tuned for it.

This month is the big month for my empty bin. I finished up the ones that I've been wanting to finish for quite a while and it finally finished.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I started using this product in January and I used it every time I wear makeup and it took me 7 months to finally finish using this product. I believe that it's worth it since it's drugstore and costs so little yet so effective. Definitely recommend you to try this cleansing water. I'll be repurchasing this product after I finished using my oil makeup removers.

St. Ives Oatmeal Scrub + Mask
I use this product religiously for so many months and it finally finished. The thing that I don't like about the St. Ives products for me is that the scrub portion and the liquid portion starts to differentiate meaning the scrubs start to solidify so it's a pain to use it. The scrub became like a normal face wash for me to use. Nonetheless, I still really loved it.

Listerine Mouth Wash
I loved the taste of it although I can't really swallow the mouth wash hahaha. It was minty, tastes pleasant and feels fresh for my mouth. I'm not sure the benefits of the mouthwash but I use it daily twice a day. I'm trying out a new one from Listerine but this green tea flavour is one of my favourites.

Ishizawa Lab Tomei Shiro Hada White Wash
This is the product that I specifically searched for it in Japan and it was a bit disappointment. Though I like the feeling and the effect, I despise the scent of it since it smelled like chemicals but I managed to finish this up. I can't find the facial foam version in Singapore but Tokyu Hands have other types of Tomei Shiro Hada products that are available in Singapore.

Premier Concentrated Facial Serum
I love this serum. Although it is very intense hydration and feels very oily, I used it religiously for one week since that sample lasted me for a week by using at night before I go to bed. It smelled great, moisturising, and I love the texture of it. Highly recommend. But I'm not sure they still have this serum anymore because Premier updated their range and products so, I don't have information on this product.

July 2017: Beauty Favourites

July was the very busy month for me and it was the month where I got depression and made me felt awful for no reason. But, that month, I pampered myself to death so that I feel better. And, it did.

If you haven't read my blogpost yesterday on my June empties, please go check it out. This month was less makeup products and more skincare and hair care products.

Mont Blanc Legend Pour Femme Body Lotion
When I decided to pamper myself, I usually start with my body. This lotion was the one I got years ago and never used it so I decided to start using again all over my body. Though it was a bit strong scented for my liking, it was moisturising for me and my body so I just lather all over my body. I use this lotion in conjunction with the Tarte Maracuja oil which is also my favourite this month.

Tarte Maracuja Oil
I also have had this maracuja oil for way too long and it started to smell bad so I didn't want to put on my face. I decided to mix with my body lotion and it was one of the most indulgent feeling I've ever felt. My skin was never been so plump and soft and moisturised before in my life. I have pretty dry under arms so it was so moisturised. Highly recommend you to try adding oils into your daily lotion.

Silk & Shine Frizz Control Hair Serum
This hair serum is the hair serum that I use every time after washing my hair and I love it. I bought it from Myanmar and I've been using this serum for many years and I just love how it makes my hair shiny and healthy looking.

Mucota Aire+ Treatment Moisture 04
I went to hair salon to straighten my hair in July so after the session, my stylist recommended me a couple of products for me to try. So I picked up this Mucota treatment for my frizzy hair and my corse hair. It made my hair so soft after shampooing and I use it as a mask every week.

Mucota Aire+ Veil for Straight 07
This is the product I will be repurchasing again after I finished using this one. I love it so much, it made my hair super straight, soft and feel non-frizzy. I use a pea size amount and apply it in wet hair and I blow dry my hair and it made my hair super straightened. Though, this product is quite expensive, I believe that it's worth it especially when your hair is like mine, which always curl up and not get straightened properly even if you rebonded it in the salon.

NYX Total Control Foundation
This is the only makeup item that I'm in love with for this month. It has good coverage, without cakey looking, moisturised my face, lasts quite a long time, easy to apply. It's cheaper than most of my foundations as well so I'm in love. I'm on a hunt on trying different foundations to see which is my absolute favourites and which are the ones I can skip.

June 2017: Beauty Empties

Hello, hello, welcome back! If you read my June beauty favourites yesterday, you'll know that today will be the empties blogpost about it. I finally finished my exams (during the time I'm writing this blog post) so my brain is a little bit retarded from all the stress that the exam made me and I apologise hehehe.

Anyways, for June, there wasn't much empties. I decided to try a couple of samples from various brands this month so I'll give my first impressions and what I though about the products after using the samples.

Aesop Oil Free Facial Hydrating Serum
It absorbs into my skin so fast. I did feel some tackiness when I applied it but it absorbs into the skin very quickly. Other than that, I feel it didn't moisturise enough for my combo skin if I use only that product as a moisturiser but I think if you layer another cream on top of it, it would be perfect.

Kiehl's Facial Fuel Energising Scrub
If you read my blogpost yesterday, I mentioned about this scrub in my June favourites. I had a couple of samples for that scrub and I loved it so much that it made me want to go buy the full size version of it. It scrubs off my dead skin cells nicely without too abrasive and I love the feeling of the product. It gives you that cooling sensation when washing off.

Kiehl's Facial Fuel Energising Moisture Treatment
This product didn't really make my skin glorious or bad. It was just a regular moisturiser in my opinion. It does smells great though.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser
This product is designed for normal to oily skin. After using a few samples from this range, I did feel that this cleanser is very gentle on the skin without stripping the oil too much and yet at the same time, it removes impurities from my pores. Although it didn't remove the make up properly since it's a gentle cleanser, I recommend you to use this product if you are using double cleansing like me.

Kiehl's Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash
This product is also designed for normal to oily skin. After using a few samples from this range, I think that this cleanser is better than the Ultra Facial one and I love how it cleans my face. It lathers up much better and I love the scent of this face wash. Again, it's not life changing but I enjoy how it makes me feel clean without being too squeaky clean.

So, this is my June beauty empties. Be sure to come back tomorrow for my July beauty favourites.

June 2017: Beauty Favourites

Although I'm posting this blogpost on 21st of August, I'm writing this blogpost on 11th of August where I just finished my second finals out of four exams. I did okay if you are wondering how I did (if you're not, I'll still say I did okay). Stress, fever and lack of sleep is killing me from inside and I've been trying various masks to cheer my skin up for a bit and make me feel a bit better. Though medicine is taking effect, I still haven't studied for my upcoming exams so I'm so doomed.

Anyways, when you are reading this, I'll be exam free and will be on holiday mode reading books and watching movies and sleeping all day. How I wish I can enjoy that life right now...
Also, if you haven't read my May beauty empties from yesterday, I'll link it right here and come back tomorrow for June beauty empties.

So, let's start with the June favourites:
Tsubaki Extra Moist Conditioner
My L'Oreal conditioner has finally run out and I was looking for a new conditioner when my friend said that this range of shampoo and conditioner was really great for my hair. So, I decided to purchase the conditioner since it was on sale for buy one get one free and my friend was buying the shampoo. I love it quite a lot since it made my hair extra soft and I don't need to use a lot of product. The other thing that I like about this is the scent. It smells awesome and I'm addicted to the scent.

Lush New Shampoo Bar
I've had this shampoo bar for more than 10 months and I'm still going strong. I shampoo my hair every 2-3 days so I don't really need to use this shampoo bar a lot and I don't need to use so much product while shampooing my hair. Although it made my hair a bit hard after rinsing out but I use the conditioner anyways to make my hair soft again.

Kiehl's Facial Fuel Energising Scrub
Although I used it for a few times from the samples that I got from Kiehl's, I was addicted to using this scrub. It removes the dead skins very nicely without making my skin dry and I like the tingly feeling after rinsing my face. I'm not planning to buy the full size product yet since I'm trying to use up my St. Ives one so this product will be on my wish list to purchase after I use up my products.

Stila Stay All Day Eyeliner
I'm not the girl who wears eyeliner everyday. I used to wear eyeliner everyday around 4 years ago but I just can't draw eyeliner properly anymore on my hooded eyelids. But whenever I feel like it, I always try to line my eyes because the wing made my eyes look nice. I was always reminded by how amazing this eyeliner is whenever I use this and this is the only liquid eyeliner that I have in my collection and I'm definitely going to repurchase whenever I run out of this eyeliner.

Innisfree No-sebum Mineral Powder
After months of using the L'Oreal one, I switched my powder for this one for a month and I was reminded how much I love it. It's translucent so it wasn't able to detect on my skin and I like how matt my skin feels after I apply it. It's compact and easy to carry so I also tend to carry with me wherever I go to touch up.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Volumising Brow Powder
Another staple product that I use literally every single day since the day I got it and I'm almost hitting pan in one tiny area of the product. I love how long lasting it lasts on my brows. Though I don't like the price point of the product, I like the day it makes my brows and it lasts for a long time.

So, these are my June beauty favourites. What are yours?

May 2017: Beauty Empties

Let's talk about May Empties!

I only have a few things that I want to talk about for my empty products in May. Before I dive into them, yesterday, I posted my May beauty favourites so go check it out and come back tomorrow for my June favourites!

So, let's dive right in!

I'm going to start with the only home empty.

Bath and Body Works Papaya Sunrise
It was the Bath and Body works 3-wick-candle in Papaya Sunrise. I used this candle for many months and I just love it to death. It smells like fruit paradise, that's for sure. I'm so sad that I couldn't find this in the stores anymore but if they still have it, I definitely would repurchase it again.

Watsons Essence Bath Shower Gel
I only got the small bottle and I lasted me for so long. It was partly because I add a bit of water and use it with my foaming container and I love how it felt on my skin and I love the scent of it. I'm currently using the bar soaps as my shower gel, but I'm definitely going to repurchase after I run out of my bar soaps.

Gigi Brazilian Bikini Wax
So, before we start anything, let me get this straight! I got this to use for my peach fuzz on top of my lips and I heard it was gentle enough to use it on my face. I agree that I can use it on my face. But it was extremely messy and troublesome. I do really like the other serums and cleaners that come with it so I'll do an in-depth review some time soon.

Sephora 10-Hour Wear Perfection Foundation
This is the very first liquid foundation that I bought in Singapore and it took me 4 years to finally finish it. I know that it's not entirely finished but I can't pump the foundation out anymore so I just considered finished. I did scraped a lot and I just couldn't bother about it so I'm putting it in my empty pile. I love how it feels on my skin and how amazing coverage it gave me. I wouldn't recommend it if you have dry skin because it looks cakey on dry skin and it did cake up on me starting from this year because my skin dried up a lot during this past few years. Nonetheless, this foundation was my go to for oily skin and I use this foundation by mixing with my oils to make it not so caked up. Highly recommend it though.

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara
I got this as a gift from Tarte when I bought the holiday collection a year back and I finally use this mascara religiously after so long. Although I can still technically wear it but it was in my collection for so long and it started drying out a bit so I'm putting it in the empty pile. I don't really feel much about this mascara since it was good but not amazing. Although it lasted on my lashes for quite a while bit when the weather is burning outside, it doesn't last all day.

May 2017: Beauty Favourites

The time has flown very fast and we've already reached May. This time I got some skincare, haircare, body care and makeup items that I want to share with you. Let's start with makeup.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation
I've been using the Wet n Wild foundation that I mentioned in my April Favourites but I got bored of it so this month I went back to using my True Match foundation. I forgot how much I loved it though. I bought it when I got oily skin so it looks very cakey when I use this by itself. But, when I add one drop of oil and mix it up, it gave me this flawless, non-cakey long lasting foundation that can withstand the Singapore heat.

L'Oreal Smooth Intense Smoothing Conditioner
I put this conditioner in my March Favourites and now I put it again in this month's favourites. I just love this conditioner. It makes my hair soft and smooth and it's affordable to purchase so it's my all-time favourite conditioner.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I've put this as my holy grail product for removing makeup since it doesn't sting my eyes and it removes my eye makeup nicely without needing to use so much product. I just love it. I tend to buy it whenever it goes on sale and I even bought this product and send to Myanmar for my best friend. That's how much I love this product (haha)

Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask
I've put this clay mask in many favourites so I'll just make it short. I love how it cleans my pores and tightens my pores. I love the fact that it didn't cost so much and I only need to use it very little to cover my entire face. I've been using it many times and I haven't even reach half way of the product. Highly recommend!

Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Bar Soap
I've heard of Dr. Bronner's bar soaps and Castile soaps from my journey of minimalism where a lot of other minimalists talk about this particular brand of soaps to be used as shower gel, detergent, face wash, cleaning product, all purpose cleaner and etc. I wanted to try so I was staring at the products deciding whether I should get the liquid version or bar soap version. In the end, I got the bar soap version. I use this bar soap as my body soap and hand soap. I also tried using this as a spot cleaner while hand-washing some undergarments (TMI) but I just love how it removes some stain. I will be trying out the liquid version soon when I finish my detergent.

So, this is my May beauty favourites. Make sure to come back tomorrow for my May empties blogpost.

My Week in Photos (Week 33)

Woohooo! All my exams had finished! I get one week of break before my last term studying MBA. This week's exams were HRM and Marketing and I did okay for both of them, i think!
Marketing exams were super difficult but I managed to finish all the questions. I don't know whether the answers I wrote are correct or not. hahaha

Anyways, I managed to meet my boyfriend during the weekends before the HRM exam and went out with him to Tuas side since both of us haven't been there before. It was an interesting place without the crowd. On Monday, on my exam day, he was sick but we decided to eat out that night. Then my marketing exam, my last exam day, after we finish the exam, me and a couple of my friends decided to go to the Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in Singapore called "Bread Street Kitchen" as a congratulate dinner and some fancy food. It was out of the world. Then, yesterday, my very first holiday, I spent the day watching Korean drama, sleeping and occasionally watching anime to spend my time.

April 2017: Beauty Empties

Whoo-hoo! I'm proudly to say that I've finally finished my final exams yesterday. Though I'm writing this blogpost before the exam without studying in the middle of the night so I'm so freaking guilty. (Go study, Reyar!)

Anyways, if you haven't read my yesterday's blogpost about my April beauty favourites, I'll link it here and make sure to check out my other monthly favourites and monthly empties blogposts marathon this month!

Today, I have a few empty products and a few makeup items that I'm letting go from my collection that I want to share with you guys. Let's start with makeup items.

Catrice Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder
The reason why I am putting this as a empty product and letting go from my collection was because it broke. I tried using alcohol and remoulding it but it just doesn't felt the same anymore. Though I like the bronzer and how it felt before it was broken, I just felt frustrated whenever I use it after it broke so I'm just going to let it go.

Mac Studio Fix Powder + Foundation
I've hit major pan with this powder and left with tiny bits. Though it says powder + foundation, I use it mainly as normal setting powder because I didn't find it super full coverage and not cakey to layer it on top of foundation. I didn't feel anything about this product, I don't really like it nor dislike it but I managed to hit major pan and use up most of the product. Not going to repurchase it though.

First Aid Beauty, Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask
Ahh, I loved it. I love it how it felt on my skin during and after I've applied this onto my face. It feels so moisturising and smells great. It doesn't clog my pores and it's good for sensitive skin. The downside is its price since it costs quite a fair bit of money and I'm not going to repurchase anytime soon.

Pearl Drops Beauty Pearls Toothpaste
I'm just letting it go of this product because my gums started to bleed after using it for a few weeks. It's not good for the gums and maybe daily use although I did find it whiten my teeth for a bit. Not going to repurchase it.

Kiehl's Blue Herbal Moisturiser
It's the moisturiser for people who have extreme acne and oily skin. I got a lot of samples when I bought the cleanser from this line and I liked it. Now, I still have a few samples left and when I used it after clearing up my acne and has become combination to dry skin instead of extreme oily skin, I find this product doesn't give enough moisture to the skin and it felt like I'm putting medication to the skin. Highly recommend for oily and acne prone skin but not recommend for combination skin.

Kiehl's Calendula Herbal Extract Toner
It is another product that I got as a sample while buying the cleanser and I like the feel of it. Though I prefer my Innisfree toners just because of the price difference. I do want to try the full size version of it after I've used up my Innisfree toner because I really liked the sample. It removes the impurities and my skin felt refreshed and clear after using this product. Will repurchase it.

Acnes Sealing Gel
I didn't know what I was thinking. Acne sealing gels never work on my acne and I've had this product for way longer than I should have. I'm letting go of this product with no intention to repurchase it again. It doesn't work on my acne.

Oxy 10 - Acne & Pimple Medication
Another product that I bought hoping it might work on my pimple. This product is the one my boyfriend recommended to me and he said it worked for him so I was hoping it work on me too. NOPE! I don't understand why the acne medication doesn't work on my pimples. I'm not going to repurchase it though.

So, these are my April empties. Since tomorrow is Friday so I'll be updating "My Week in Photos" so make sure to check them out!

April 2017: Beauty Favourites

Hello, hello, welcome! Another day, another list of beauty favourites. I was lazy to write a blogpost about my monthly beauty favourites and beauty empties so I decided to write a blogpost each day about them this month. If you haven't checked out my March empties from yesterday, I'll link it here. And if you haven't seen my other monthly favourites and monthly empties blogposts, make sure to check them out!

So, let's start with April beauty favourites shall we? This month, I got five products that I want to share but I could only take photos of 3 products because I've finished using up the other 2 products. Let's start with that 2 missing products.
Lush Sex Bomb Bath Bomb
It looks like this!
If you follow me on my blog, you'll know that I went to Indonesia in April with my boyfriend for a one day trip and I bought this bath bomb to have a bath in the hotel. It was interesting experience since I've never taken a bath using bath bombs so I really loved the experience. I don't have a bath tub at home so it's a rare treat for me.

Watsons Essence Bath

I also bought a new shower gel from Watsons and I just loved it. It smells like amazing spa and it lathers quite nicely and I smell heavenly after I took a shower. Also, it was from Watsons and is affordable so I just love the shower gel so much to put it in the beauty favourites.

Aesop Amazing Cleanser
If you read my yesterday's March empties, you'll know that I used up this cleanser and bought the full size version of it and how much I love it. So, I'm not going to say much here. Go read my March empties a bit to know how much I love this cleanser.

Innisfree Persimmon Toner
I've been using this toner for a year and I repurchased it again and again. It's refreshing, smells great and it removes the impurities left after cleansing my face.

Wet & Wild CoverAll Cream Foundation
It is one of the most affordable foundation I have and I like to wear it more often. I've been trying really hard to finish this foundation so that I get to try other foundations that I have. Though it has good coverage and good for combination skin, it doesn't stay well in the Singapore heat that much. That's the only complaint that I have. Being said that, I still like this foundation a lot because of its coverage and price.

So, these are my April Favourites. Do come back tomorrow for my April beauty empties blogpost.

March 2017: Beauty Empties

I have quite a bit of empties products that I want to share for this month. If you haven't read my March Favourites from yesterday, I'll link it here. Come back tomorrow for my April beauty favourites!

So, let's start with the empty products. This month, I actually finish quite a few products and I'm so excited to use up my products. If you follow me on my minimalism journey, you'll know that I've been trying to use up my products as much as possible to cut down my makeup and skincare collection. Although I am in success with the skincare collection, I am not successful with my makeup items so I'm happy whenever I see some makeup items in my empties collection.

Bioken Enfanti Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
If you read my February favourites, you'll know that I put this shampoo as my favourite shampoo for my flaky dry scalp. I still love it though. Although I'm not going to repurchase soon just because I got my lush shampoo bars that I'm currently using so I don't want to clog up my collection yet again. It is in my repurchase list so that's how much I love this product.

Nivea Shaving Cream
I did an entire blogpost just for this shaving cream last year and I'm still in love. I like using shaving creams but these days, I find my soap also works the same for me anyways. I love using the shaving cream though. But I'm conflicted as I don't want so many products just to shower and shave my legs so I've decided not to repurchase the shaving cream. But, I'm planning to buy this product to give it to my boyfriend since he shaves his face and he might enjoy this more than me.

The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Gel
Damn, how I love the scent of this! I smell like strawberries whenever I shower and I just love the feeling of it. Although it costs a fortune when buying retail just for a shower gel, but I tend to buy whenever they have big sales. Highly recommend to try them out.

Complete Multi-purpose Solution
If you don't know this product, it is a contact solution. I sometimes wear contact lens so I have the contact solutions in hand to wash and store my contact lenses. I'm not sure how I feel about it since I don't really care about the brands when it comes to contact solutions as long as they do the job and they are affordable to me.

Garnier Self-heating Sauna Mask
Repurchased: 4 times. If you feel that you haven't heard of this mask before, it was because I've had this mask for a year and I totally forgot about them. I really enjoyed it although I can't find it anymore. It was an interesting mask that only takes 3 minutes to put on and it removes the impurities and makes it clean and soft on my skin.

Aesop Amazing Face Cleanser
This is the samples for buying the full size version and I'm in love with this cleanser. I got the full size and I've been using whenever I need a pick-me-up. I just love how spa like Aesop products are and it smells so heavenly.

Aesop Bitter Orange Astringent Toner
Though I only used the sample one, it was an okay toner for me. I need to try it out to see the actual performance but Aesop products costs a lot of money so I'll just use up my current toner first and think about whether I'll purchase after I finished my toner.

Aesop Oil Free Facial Hydrating Serum
Another sample. Apparently, this combination is good for my skin type and this serum will hydrates my skin enough and yet will not clog my pores and won't be heavy on my skin. When I used it, I really couldn't feel a thing on my skin. Not sure it's good for my skin by using one sample though.

Essence Bronzing Compact Powder
If you have followed my blog for a while, you'll see my old favourites videos and blogposts about this product. I used this bronzer religiously for a few years and I've hit major pan with it. I'm putting it in my empty bin just because I've used up quite a lot and I've had this product for longer than it should be. So, I love this product but now it's time to try a new one.

March 2017: Beauty Favourites

Ahh, March has gone by! Time has flown by very fast. And it's time for another beauty favourites. (grins!) hehehe, not so much since we are here in August, writing this blogpost about my March beauty favourites because I was lazy and too busy to write it in April (sorry guys)

But, you get to read my monthly favourites and monthly empties blogpost everyday for the entire month so isn't it awesome?? I will link yesterday's February Empties blogpost right here so that you can go take a look! and come back tomorrow for my March beauty empties!

Okay, let's start! I have a fair bits and pieces of haircare and makeup items that I want to share my love with you guys.

L'Oreal Smooth Intense Smoothing Conditioner
How many times have I put this conditioner into my favourites and to my empties bin already? I guess a lot! I still love it nonetheless. It is smoothing, makes my hair soft and it smells great. It doesn't make me feel greasy. That’s how much I love this conditioner.

Lush Godiva Shampoo Bar
I have been trying out lush shampoo bars for a while and I like how portable they are whenever I go travelling. It’s dry so you don’t need to care about the liquid requirements through check ins nor need to worry about the liquid spilling inside the luggage. It smells like jasmine and I like it because it's inclusive of conditioning product to make your hair feel soft and smooth. However, I still like to use conditioner on top of it just because my hair is so frizzy and easily tangle so I need extra smoothness.

Catrice Bronzer in Hot Tan
This is a limited edition product so I'm not sure they have it in stock anymore. I love it though. It gives you this not too warm, not too cool bronzy looking face whenever you apply it and it lasts for quite a while in the sunny weather of Singapore also. Moreover, it's affordable because I paid $10 for it.

Victoria Secret Tinted Sheen
I believe there's no more stock for this lip sheen from Victoria Secret. I got this lip stick from my mother as a gift and she also got it from her friend so we don't know where it was gotten. I just love this lip sheen because it's so moisturising and the colour is similar to my mother but better! I've been trying to use this lip sheen up so I've been using it every day for the most part and I just love it. I'm a bit sad that I can't buy it anymore from stores though.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara
Damn! This is amazing! It doesn't flake, doesn't budge and it stays on my lashes all day and I'm just in love with it! Though it's a pain to take off but I use oil to remove my makeup these days so it's fine for me. I love this mascara and I'm even planning to get a new one soon.

So, this is my March favourites. Come back tomorrow for my March beauty empties blog post!

February 2017: Beauty Empties

So, this is my February empties! If you haven't read my February Favourites blog post, I'll link it right here and make sure to come back tomorrow for March beauty favourites!

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel
I have been using this moisturiser religiously and I even put it in my February Favourites as my favourite moisturiser. However, I'm not going to repurchase anytime soon since I have other kinds of moisturisers to try out in my cabinet and I'm making efforts to finish through my products to reduce the amount of skincare and makeup items in my collection!

Silk n Shine Daily Hair Coat
It took so long to finish one bottle and boy oh boy how I love wearing this hair coat. It moisturises my hair and makes it look shiny without looking greasy. I've been using so many bottles across the years and it's still one of my favourite. It is affordable since it costs me around $3 per bottle but the only downside is that I can't get in Singapore. However, I always buy back ups whenever I go back to Myanmar. My mother also said it is a good hair coat and started using the same as me.

Essence Collagen Moisturising Sheet Mask
This sheet mask is good for moisturising the skin. If you know me, I have a ton of sheet masks that I bought to try and I'm stuck with the Japanese sheet mask packet that has like 60 sheet masks in one packet. I'm trying to use finish on that one so that I can get to try other types of sheet masks. That's why I finally use this sheet mask after keeping for quite some time.  I didn't see any amazing results from this sheet mask though. It gave me enough moisture to the skin and my skin felt refreshed after using it. Although I didn't really like the scent but it was less than $1. I won't be repurchasing though.

Innisfree Green Tea Sheet Mask
Another sheet mask that I really like. I love the Innisfree sheet masks and I have a huge collection of their masks. I love this particular sheet mask because it gave me enough moisture, smells great like green tea and I felt refreshed after using it. I recommend to put in the fridge for 5 mins before using and it will even feel much better.

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask
I got this mask at the Origins counter for some survey and when I used it, I immediately fall in love. Usually, I prefer the Innisfree clay mask, but this mask dries faster and it removes the junk from my pores more effectively. I immediately bought the full size version for myself and I've been using non-stop. Highly recommend though!

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque
Boy oh boy, how long it took for me to use finish on this masque. It tightens the pores like crazy and gave you this lift feeling and it removes the impurities from the pores. When it comes to removing impurities, I prefer the Origins one although I like this masque for tightens the pores. I won't be repurchasing soon since I want to finish using up my other masks but it's in my repurchasing list when I finished using up my masks. Recommend!

L'Oreal Oleo Therapy Oil-infused Conditioner
I believe this conditioner is no longer available so I put the mask version down below. For the actual conditioner, I like how soft it makes my hair and I like the subtle scent of it. I loved it although I can't repurchase it anymore. I shall try the mask version when I finish my current hair mask.

Johnson's Baby Shampoo
I bought this because I wanted to clean my brushes and when I used it to my hair, my hair felt soft and untangled then I started using as my shampoo for a while. When you pair this shampoo with the L'Oreal conditioner, it makes my hair super soft and shiny and I just love using this combo. I bought another bottle to clean my makeup brushes and it's so affordable also. Recommend!

Daiso Eye Makeup Cleansing Tissue
I bought this because I wanted some cleansing tissues when I travel and it removes my waterproof eyeliner and eyeshadows perfectly. When it comes to mascara, it removes but I need to use a new wipe to remove the mascara properly. I'd say that it's not that great to use this wipe to remove mascara but other eyemakeup or face makeup, it's good to use! It's affordable for so many wipes.

Magiclean Bathroom Cleaner
It's so random but I would like to add this cleaner in this post. My aunt has been using this bathroom cleaner for years and I also have been using this cleaner for my past 4 years in Singapore. It's THAT GOOD! I always go back to this bathroom cleaner nonetheless of how many other brands I try and I just love this cleaner. It makes my bathroom shine and clean effortlessly.

UIC Liquid Detergent
This is the liquid detergent I've been using and I just love it so much! It smells great, affordable, durable and not damaging the clothes. I've been repurchasing this liquid detergent every time I ran out of it and that's how much I love it.

So this is my February empties blogpost. Do come back tomorrow for March beauty favourites!!

February 2017: Beauty Favourites

It's time for my February beauty favourites. If you haven't read January beauty favourites, I'll link here for you to head over and read. This time I only have all skincare and haircare products as favourites.

Also, I was only able to take photo of 3 products since I've finished using the other 2 products. So, I have more than 3 products for this month!

If you want to read other monthly favourite blogposts, I will link the category here for you.

So, here's my February Favourites:
Origins Active Charcoal Mask
I do enjoy a good charcoal mask for when I have clogged pores and this is a perfect charcoal mask for me. I removes the impurities nicely and it doesn't take too long to dry down and work its magic. All in all, I'm in love.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel
This is another product I've used religiously and have finished using up the entire product. It gives my skin radiance and makes it feel moisturised. I love it though it was quite expensive, it was frigging 60 bucks.

Bioken Enfanti Anti-drandruff Shampoo
I couldn't find the bottle anymore so I couldn't take a photograph of it. But I've finished using it and I'm obsessed with it. Whenever I go to a hair salon, the stylist always tell me that I have dry scalp and have flaky scalp so I decided to purchase this and use it. This shampoo doesn't try out my scalp and my hair so my hair doesn't suffer that much. I've been using it for non-stop and I've even finished using it up by the time I'm writing this blogpost.

Innisfree Green Tea Sheet Mask
How many times do I need to tell you that I love sheet masks? They are inexpensive and can use daily and they are good for my combo-dry skin! It moisturises my skin and makes it glow. That's how much I love Innisfree sheet masks. You'll be surprised my collection of sheet masks from them! It's a whole lot!

Innisfree Apple Seed Deep Cleansing Foam
Well, I'm still using this cleansing foam and it's one of my favourite products from Innisfree. It removes my makeup residue and it doesn't strip my skin dry. It's good for all skin types and I love the scent also. You don't need a whole lot so it saves the product even longer to use. Value for money also!

So, this is my February beauty favourites! Let me know what's yours!

My Week in Photos (Week 32)

Ahh, this is the week I start my exams. Can't believe that my exams are starting and I'm freaking out because I'm so not ready for it. It'll be incredibly stressful week for me. But I'll only have 2 more exams after this week so, don't give up me!

The thing that stood out to me was my wrist. The pain came back from all the strain it was put on while writing loads of blogposts before the exam last week and the stress that I put on it during my exam. I had to put on my wrist guard again so that it'll reduce the pain for me. Can't wait for this exams to be over and I hope I did good enough to get a bit of good grades.

Go as far as you can, and take another step!

January 2017: Beauty Empties

Now it's time for my January Empties blog post. I'm sorry to take too long to write beauty blogposts on my blog since I tend to write more about lifestyle posts. But I'm going to write beauty related blogposts this whole month so make sure to come again tomorrow for My Week in Photos and the day after tomorrow for February Favourites blogpost.

I have about 11 products so I'll be short and precise about them.
Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Foam
Omg, do you know how much I loved this face cleanser? It was amazing. It removes my makeup residue without drying out my skin and it smells great! The price is also not too bad for around S$12 so I loved it so much. I'm currently using another cleanser from Innisfree so I'll talk about it in another post.

Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum
I liked it. It was moisturising and smells great. I'm not sure I'm going to repurchase though since I prefer more oil types as serums. It's a great product if you have combination skin.

Innisfree Wine Jelly Sleeping Mask
Although I only used it for a couple of times, I really enjoyed using it. I'm not going to repurchase though since I find it's too moisturising for me. I believe this product is for people with dry skin and I felt it was a bit heavy for my skin. Smells great though. Smells like wine.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence
ahhhh Facial Treatment Essence, how I love it so much and yet how I hate the price that this one small bottle costs. It's S$99 for this freaking small bottle! It's freaking ridiculous. Although I absolutely love it, I just don't have the money to use for another one as of now. So I won't be repurchasing again.

Nature Republic Tomato Sheet Mask
I wish Nature Republic is widely sold in Singapore. There are a few stores in Singapore but they were no where near my house so I haven't tried much of their products. But whenever I go back to Myanmar, they were sold like everywhere I go so I always try out sheet masks from them. This sheet mask is good for moisturising the skin and even out the skin tone. I like it but I won't be purchasing again anytime soon since I'm not going back to Myanmar any time soon.

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap
I don't really enjoyed using this facial cleanser from Clinique though. It felt that it doesn't wash my makeup properly and it's tough to wash off with water. I had to use a lot of water to clean the soap properly off my skin. I won't be repurchasing it.

Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water
It was my holy grail product before I found the Garnier Micellar Water. I still enjoy it a lot though. I have a smaller bottle that I bring with me when I go travelling and I still love it to death. Although it stings a bit to the eyes when removing mascara, it removes my eye make up and face makeup nicely and the price is also not too expensive for the amount that you get.

Colgate Triple Action Toothpaste
Well, this is a good toothpaste that cleans my teeth. I prefer the whitening line more than this toothpaste so I won't be repurchasing it.

The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Body Polish
I love this body polish. It is moisturising, smells great and gentle on the skin. Even though it's body polish, it's not harsh scrub so I can use it daily on my skin. Will be repurchasing but not so soon.

Daiso Brow Powder in Brown
If you have followed my YouTube channel, you will know that I loved the Daiso Brow Powder a lot. I still enjoy it though. But I'm putting this in my "declutter" pile since I have had this brow powder for so long and felt like I should just let it go. I'm only using the Tarte Brow Powder religiously these days so I'm not planning to repurchase it any time soon. However, I do recommend it if you are just starting out makeup and wants to purchase a brow product.

Daiso Setting Powder
This is an another product that I put in my "declutter" pile. I liked this powder also and I've hit major pan for this powder. However, same reason as the brow powder, I have had this product for a long time and I'm using other powders so I'm decluttering it. I recommend for those who are just on a budget or wants to try Daiso beauty products.

So, this is my January beauty empties. I will be updating my monthly favourites and monthly empties everyday in this month so please make sure to read them.
